BSNL Wireless and Wired Market Share as on June-2013

Telecom Regulatory Authority of India (TRAI) released wireless (GSM, CDMA and FWP) and wired subscriber base as on 30th June, 2013.
The number of telephone subscribers in India increased to  903.09 million at the end of June, 2013 from 900.05 million at the end of May 2013.


BSNL Wireless Market Share:


Total number of wireless BSNL subscribers are 9,79,90,720 which is 75,595 less than the May-2013 subscribers (9,80,66,315).

Kerala circle is accounted for highest net addition (51,144), followed Andhra Pradesh telecom cirlce with 39614 subscribers.

Maharashtra circle has lost 1,40,224 subscribers during the same period(30th May- 30th June), followed by U.P.(W) with net loss of 47,436 subscribers.

BSNL current wireless market share in India is 11.22% which is less than May-2013(11.26%) 


UP(E) has the highest number of BSNL subscribers (1,04,27,629) followed by Tamilnadu(95,97,419) and Andhra Pradesh(94,50,473).

Market share wise, BSNL has higest market share of 25.32% in Kerala, followed by Himachal Pradesh (22.01%) and North East(19.23%)



BSNL Landline and Broadband Market Share:

Total wireline subscribers are 29.73 million out of which BSNL holdes 66.91% market share followed by MTNL (11.94%). BSNL has lost 1,25,494 landline subscribers from end of May to end of June-2013.

Total Broadband subscriber base has increased from 15.13 million at the end of May 2013 to 15.19 million at the end of June 2013, there by showing a monthly growth of 0.39%. 

Top five Internet service providers (ISP) in terms of market share (based on subscriber base) are: BSNL (9.97 million, 65.6%), Bharti Airtel (1.41 million, 9.3%), MTNL (1.10 million, 7.2%), Hathway (0.37 million) and You Broadband (0.32 million).
